You’re probably here for one of two reasons:
You’ve placed an Agrishield order with a hose kit and want to make sure your couplers are correct
You’re getting ready to order and want to identify the right couplers ahead of time
This guide is for identifying quick couplers only. Since we are providing the hoses, there is no need to worry about adapters, we’ll include any additional fittings required to match our hoses to your couplers.
There are two methods to identifying your couplers
Method 1. Locating the Part Number (Easy Way)
Method 2. Measuring w/ Identification Chart (Hard Way)
If you can identify the part number, this is the quickest and most foolproof method. Complete step 1 successfully, and you are done.
We can find part numbers on either the male or female coupler. Part numbers can be difficult to see, but look for markings on the main body of the coupler, closer to where it threads into the hose or fitting – not on the tip that plugs in.
Very easy from a factory coupler as shown here (QD-A-3/8NPT-F 2224)
My part number is difficult to find….

Let's walk through a tougher example, an older Massey loader valve.

Disconnect a coupler and check the body of the coupler's for part numbers. Female couplers had no part numbers visible, the male coupler had two identifiable numbers (12SAE-N0. & M-11M0). Neither of these were helpful, they relay only the port thread size & mfg batch number.

This is why we recommend taking photos of both sides of the coupler
Loosening and rotating the coupler reveals the correct part number: CNV-06 After submitting both photos, Agrishield would be able to identify that this is a ISO7241-A Series 3/8" body. Once submitted, you are done.

Dimensions of female couplers aren’t helpful. Use a caliper to measure the male tip – we are measuring the connecting ‘tip’ as shown here. We measured ~0.68in

The numbers on the chart are references, small variations occur. In this example our 0.68in matches very close to the 0.67in ISO7241-1 A Series. Which is the correct coupler.

Measurements can sometimes match multiple couplers on the chart. For example, a 0.80” measurement could be either ISO 5675 (Ag Series) or ISO 7241-A. So which is it?
Unfortunately, it can be either - and at that point, the only reliable way to tell is by finding a part number.
ISO 5675 and ISO 7241-A are often compatible in the common 1/2” body size, but not always. Some manufacturers will connect and flow fine, others won’t
We occasionally see customers report low flow to the ProCut, and after investigation couplers further, it turns out the tractor is set up with ISO 7241-A couplers. Swapping to the correct coupler typically fixes the issue right away.
Pro tip: If you already have other implements that connect and run properly, check those couplers for part numbers - that’s usually the quickest way to confirm what you have.
Final note: When in doubt, we recommend going with ISO 5675 (Ag style). It’s the most common and widely compatible option.

This is another common measurement overlap. This ones is easy to identify as the ISO7241 B Series has a much larger tip length
