Agrishield’s ProCut Plus+ – Premium ProCut Quick Attach Mount (Loaders or Skid Steer)

Need to adjust the bar angle hydraulically from the tractor seat? ProCut Plus+ is for you. It’s an upgraded ProCut quick-attach frame with an electronic valve that lets you tilt the bar using a momentary switch—just like a third function valve. Only one set of hoses is needed from your tractor, switching between motor operation and bar tilt with the press of a button.

I purchased the Procut15 Plus for my Kubota LX2610. It is very heavy duty. The hydraulic tilt feature is great. If you are thinking about buying one don’t hesitate. Andrew was awesome to deal with throughout the entire process.

I bought the ProCut plus and got them to customize it a bit. So it cuts using hydraulics and articulates using hydraulics also via 3rd function on my John Deere 3025e and the nice electronic actuator they sent me. I also got a blade that is 54 inches long. Works well to clear brush and small trees around fence lines, small branches up to 1 1/2 inches. Will cut tall grass and kudzu vines. It is built like a tank so I don’t think durability will be an issue. Several things I think could be improved on including being able to increase the speed of the sickle even at full throttle it’s just not that fast and is way more at home in thick brush and tree lines than in grass. It will cut tall grass but you have to move very slow. Also it comes with one stand for one end but nothing for the other end so when you unload the unit from your tractor it sits on an angle and it’s hard to pick it back up with the loader. I fixed this problem by getting a friend of mine to build me a stand for the other end so it would sit level. I will include a picture for reference. My impression of this unit is it is worth every penny I paid and would highly recommend if you have a lot of property to maintain.

Love this thing! Just got my ProCut 21 Plus+ and installed it on my tractor. Took it for a test run and I’m thrilled with what it can do! The “Plus+” model has the hydraulic cylinder that lets you adjust the angle of the cutter bar from vertical to horizontal and below horizontal. You can set the range of angles by adjusting the position of the bar on the pivot clamp. But being able to adjust that angle on the fly with the cylinder is a game changer! Makes it far more versatile and efficient. I currently use a 5′ bank/ditch flail mower to maintain my trails. It can tilt vertically to trim the sides, but it’s mounted on the 3-pt hitch so I can only get it to mow up about 7 feet. My tractor’s cab is taller than that. Because this mower is mounted on the loader, it will let me get at those high branches that are overhanging the trail and getting in the way of the tractor. In fact, after seeing what this can do, I may end up selling the bank/ditch flail mower. The one thing that could use some improvement on this model is the pivot clamp. You loosen two bolts, adjust the angle of the bar, and then tighten the bolts to clamp it in place. After that, the tilt cylinder adjusts the angle. But the cutter bar has some significant weight and it’s a long moment arm. The tilt cylinder starts and stops abruptly, and the momentum of the bar tends to make it slip on the pivot. I have to tighten and retighten those bolts to an extreme amount to get it to stay in place. It would be good to have a more substantial pivot clamping mechanism on the Plus model. Also, don’t expect it to be a great option for mowing grass horizontally. It cuts just fine, but that’s not its forte. Unlike other mowers, it doesn’t have wheels, rollers, or skids to let it float on uneven ground. So you have to mow very slowly and carefully to avoid running into things. Plus, the clipped grass piles up on the cutter bar and hides it so you can’t really see where it is in relation to the ground. It’s fine for trimming around the banks of ponds where you’re going slow anyway. But for mowing large areas of grass and weeds, a rotary or flail mower is a much better choice. The fact is, this mower is designed to trim brush and it does a fantastic job of it! I saw a youtube video of a guy who pushed it to the limit and a bit beyond and ended up with one broken blade and several blades with chipped serrations. But I was keeping my trimming to more reasonable size, up to around 1″ to 1-1/4″ and it didn’t miss a beat. Checking the blades afterwords I saw no sign of wear at all. Overall, I’m really happy with this mower. It’s going to save me a ton of time!

For future customer clarity – we reached out to Robert to clear up the stand setup. Our ProCut stand is designed to be used in a horizontal storage position rather than vertically. This prevents the cutter bar from tipping over, and allows for a flat, stable storage plane, easily set on a pallet or directly on the ground. Please see our webpage (https://agrishieldllc.com/product/procut-stand/) for a video illustration of this. Hopefully this helps out any future customers!

How strong is the breakaway spring on the heavy duty bucket mount? Quality of the mount?

Very strong. It can not be used as a way to ‘walk-around’ a post or solid object, the spring is meant for failsafe protection in case accidentally running into an solid object while operating. Our breakaway and mount are much more heavy duty than the other solutions we have seen on the market, heavy duty enough that we are able to use the same set up for orchard applications with trimmer bars 7ft and longer.

How do I order with Euro/Global or JDQA?

Our standard mount is the Universal Quick Attach (SSQA). If you are looking to mount to either Global or John Deere Quick Attach, please contact sales prior to ordering: sales@agrishieldll.com
